Highways engineers will arrange for a further drain to be installed near Buckenham Drive. The hedge by the playing fields footpath has now been cut and the light on the Duke's Head repaired.
Cllr Nicholas-Letch said he had inspected this area and felt that access could possibly be a problem. This is currently along a track beside a field. He felt access could possibly be made available through the cemetery but consideration would obviously have to be given should a funeral be taking place. It was agreed that this would be discussed further when there are six applications for allotments.
Work on potholes in Bridge Road has been programmed. The clerk is to write to the occupiers of properties with boundaries along Boughton Road about an overgrown hedge.
Members were told there was still no rubbish bin outside the kebab shop.
Cllr Nicholas-Letch said some graves in the cemetery were considered dangerous because of settlement. Some which are crumbling need filling in then gravel put on top, at a cost of approximately 50 per plot.
Contact will be made with relatives. He thought a fundraising event could be arranged to help with financing the work.
A report indicating what needs to be done about the footpath in Oxborough Road is to be forwarded to the highways engineer.
Cllr Nicholas-Letch asked for an increase to 600 to be included for the cemetery in the 2009/10 precept. The precept was set at 9,500.
The council meeting scheduled for April 1 will now be brought forward to Wednesday, March 25, to take account of the end of the financial year.
The council recommended for approval plans for floodlights to illuminate the football pitch at Playing Fields, Buckenham Drive.
It recommended for refusal variation of Condition 11 of permission to permit a scheme for the provision and implementation of contamination investigation to be undertaken in a phased manner at land in Lynn Road.
A request had been received from the borough planning department for the parish council to change its decision. It was agreed by all councillors that their original decision should stand.
