Swaffham Lions cook up treats

SWAFFHAM Lions have been enjoying a busy period of fundraising and community work as part of their Christmas celebrations.

Members welcomed around 120 guests for a senior citizens' party at Hamond's School, which featured a traditional three-course Christmas meal followed by an afternoon of musical entertainment.

And the festive goodwill has continued, with a little help from the Lionesses, during weekend collections at the town's Waitrose supermarket, which is expected to raise around 2,000.

The Lions have also been pleased to support Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital by donating 1,000 towards the cost of a laser knife for use during eye operations.
