Tears of joy for Christmas

YOUNGSTERS from Greyfriars Primary School choir at Lynn moved customers to tears before Christmas when they visited Lloyds TSB bank in the town's High Street to sing Christmas carols.

Pupils from the London Road school sang a mixture of traditional carols and modern Christmas songs and raised 120 from donations from customers which will be split between the school and its chosen charity – Barnardo’s.

“Lloyds TSB are ‘partners in education’ for Greyfriars and they donated an iPod shuffle to school on the day!”, said school spokesman Julie Kirwan.

“Customers seemed to enjoy the singing with many visiting the bank just to hear the singers. The children even made one lady cry because she said it sounded so beautiful!”
