Barclays Bank Hunstanton held a cake-and-table-top-sale in the branch on Friday. April 29, for Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week 2016 in support of their colleague Sam Bromfield who was diagnosed with the disease last September.

Sam and her friend Lucy Barnes-Hooker’s tables were laden with the most delicious cakes that proved very popular with customers at the High Street branch.

Sam Bromfield said: My colleagues at Barclays have been really supportive whenever I’ve been fundraising and over the years we’ve raised money for Burkina Faso through Sports Connections, The Stroke Association, Guide Dogs, Macmillan and the Deaf Association among others and after my diagnosis they were keen to help the MS cause too.

“Local businesses have donated some amazing prizes for a raffle that will run during the next month that will bring in more money, customers have been very generous today and of course Barclays will match every pound we raise locally so I am hopeful it will help make a real difference.”
