Charity set to hold Lynn computer collection

A charity will be holding a collection in Lynn this week to distribute unwanted computer equipment overseas.

People in West Norfolk are being encouraged to take old computer equipment along to the former PC World premises on Campbells Meadow, Lynn, this Thursday and Friday to support the Computers 4 Africa programme.

The charity collects equipment that is less than eight years old and in working condition before refurbishing the items, removing all their security data and shipping them across the continent.

The charity estimates that more than 340,000 children across Africa are using computers supplied by the charity.

The collection will be open from 10am to 5pm on Thursday and 9am to 4pm on Friday.
