LAST week our county councillor Shelagh Hutson hosted a modest lunch at County Hall for selected volunteers from across the town. Shelagh chairs meetings of the county council, a role for which she was chosen by fellow councillors and which marks the respect she has amongst her colleagues.

WE have so far experienced a mild winter. Robins are already pairing up to start nesting, snowdrops are flowering in increasing numbers and Ryston Hall’s scheduled open days are earlier than usual, on Sundays, February 5 and 12.
