I USED to work for a local firm with a relatively short chain of command. There is the owner, a managing director, a small handful of obsequious and powerless non-executive directors, a sales manager and then “us”. The company is run on very autocratic lines and the MD’s word is final. A premier bully and a dinosaur of epic proportions, but he sees himself as dynamic, decisive and immensely conversant with the ways of modern business as far as he imagines it to be.

WELL it looks to me like Madame Spelman and her “familiars” have drawn a line in the sand and unless there’s either a miracle or a revolution, my guess is you will see a stretch of Lynn’s southern skyline blighted by Cory Wheelabrator’s stinking chimney.I’m pretty confident that a miracle isn’t going to happen because The Almighty simply isn’t going to have time to sort this mess out for us but revolution is still available to every single one of the 65,000 people who made their mark on the petition demanding the abandonment of the proposal.
