Residents of Barroway Drove and the surrounding area are invited to celebrate a successful year for the Village Hall on Sunday.

There will be tea and cake, whilst enjoying live music provided by Singer’s Inspired – Downham’s Community Choir from 2pm and an exhibition by local artists.

The management committee of the hall, which was built in the 1980’s, wanted to showcase just what a great venue it is after being successful with a Lottery Grant for £2,900. Entry is free and refreshments will be on sale.

Also funded by the same grant, Kathleen Wiseman, from Downham Heritage Centre, will give a talk on the history of Downham and the Clackclose Hundred on Thursday, from 7.30pm. Call Vicki Howling on 01366 382380 for more information.
