DOWNHAM MARKET: Lions ‘gallop’ to the rescue

Members of Downham Lions Club have donated £1,000 to West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled at Wallington Hall, after hearing the group was struggling for survival.

The club’s vice president, John Fox said: “Our president Chris Moreton went along to the open day and was so impressed with the work they do he felt we had to do something to help to keep it going.

A group of Lions later visited the Magpie Centre and met some of the children, ponies and volunteers.
