Downham Market: Walk-in theft prompts fears for summer

A WALK-IN burglary in Downham has prompted police warnings against lax home security during the summer months.

The Downham burglary happened on Bridge Street around 3pm on Wednesday, March 28.

The thief walked through an unlocked front door and stole cash before being disturbed by the victim.

Supt Dave Marshall said: “Always keep your front and back doors locked or in view when you are at home and try not to leave downstairs windows open.”
