An horse riding area could be transformed into a 100-pitch camping and caravan park, if planning permission is approved.

The camping and caravan centre would be created at Wellington Lodge Farm, Northwold, under plans submitted to West Norfolk Council.

The application is for a seasonal 50-pitch caravan site to operate between March and November, plus 50 pitches for camping and glamping plus a new shop, office, function room and toilet and shower block.

The site is currently used for equestrian purposes. The clubhouse would be built instead of an indoor riding area and stables that permission was previously given for.
