Community leaders in a West Norfolk village will hold a consultation event next week as part of efforts to provide a new skate ramp in the area.
Parish council officials in Dersingham say the current facility needs to be replaced because of wear and tear and vandalism.
And residents are being urged to attend a comsultation session next Thursday, July 14, to share their ideas on what to do.
The event is scheduled to take place at the recreation ground in Hunstanton Road, between 4.30pm and 6pm.
Representatives of Frontside, a London-based company which specialises in the construction of skatepark facilities, will be present to discuss residents’ ideas during the session.
A parish council statement said: “Young people, and their families, are asked to come along and contribute ideas to help design the new skatepark, which will be constructed on the site of the old facility.
“Once draft designs are drawn up, further consultation will take place before the final layout is decided upon.
“The parish council has some monies earmarked but will need to look for grants to help finance the project, and would welcome any assistance with fundraising.”
