Plans to install new electronic information signs in Swaffham have been backed by town councillors.

The signs, which could cost up to £12,500, are set to be funded through the proceeds of legal agreements that were struck as part of planning consent for the new Tesco store on Brocks Road, which opened last year.

The proposal was approved at the authority’s monthly meeting on Wednesday.

Councillor David Wickerson said it was hoped the signs would be in place around the town by Easter, adding: “I think they will be of great benefit to the town.”
