A Christmas craft fair held at Wimbotsham Village Hall on Sunday had everything from homemade cakes to jewellery.
The event was organised by a working party from the village hall committee who are trying to raise funds so urgent repair work can be carried out at the venue.
Ann Smith, one of the working party, said: “The hall is in dire need of a lot of work and needs a complete revamp. It requires a new roof, heating, a disabled toilet and a new kitchen. The craft fair went very well and we had a steady trickle of people through the doors throughout the day.”
A total of £247.50 was raised on the day, taking the overall figure raised during the year to around £800.
