A good deed for thieves

TWO shoplifters from Lynn have agreed to repay a supermarket after they were caught stealing over £100 worth of alcohol.

The women were caught in early December 2011 stealing £121 of alcohol from Asda in North Lynn.

Both fully admitted the offence to police and were dealt with by way of Restorative Justice with the full support of the store management.

Restorative Justice is an alternative to criminal prosecution which brings together offenders of low level crime and their victims to resolve the matter.

The pair agreed to repay the £121 to the store and have also been banned from all Asda stores.
