Admits being drunk and disorderly
A MAN who admitted being drunk and disorderly outside a Lynn nightclub told magistrates he was provoked by police.
Philip Alcock, prosecuting, said Samuel Bone, 27, of Courtnell Place, Gaywood, had been thrown out of Chicago’s on Norfolk Street. Initially he co-operated with police, but when they told him to leave the area he suggested a fight with them.
Bone, who represented himself in court, told West Norfolk magistrates that a police officer had called him a little boy and sworn at him.
He said: “The policeman was very much out of order. Yes I did do something wrong but I was provoked big time. It was very harsh for me to be arrested.”
Magistrates gave Bone a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered him to pay £85 costs.
