DERSINGHAM: Two men held over car park attack
Two men have been arrested and bailed over an incident in a social club car park in which a man suffered facial injuries.
Witnesses are still being sought over the incident, which happened in Lynn Road, Dersingham, just after midnight on Sunday.
A police spokesman said the victim, a man in his mid-40s, was asked to shake the hand of another man in the car park of Dersingham Social Club.
As he did so, he was struck from behind and fell to the ground.
He was then kicked and punched and had to be taken to hospital with a fractured eye socket, cuts and bruises.
Two men, one in his late 30s and another in his 40s, were arrested in connection with the incident and were subsequently released on bail pending further inquiries.
