Driver is fined for speeding

A SPEEDING van driver escaped a ban at West Norfolk Magistrates’ Court today.

Sean Pears, 34, of Blackfriars Road, Lynn, admitted driving at 93mph on the A47 at Terrington St John on December 5, when the van he was driving was limited to 60mph.

Pears told magistrates: “I have to put my hands up really, it’s a fair cop. I didn’t realise I was going that quickly but I knew I was speeding. I was just trying to get home.”

Magistrates fined Pears £225 and imposed six points on his driving licence.
