HUNSTANTON: Police probe theft from supermarket

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward in connection with a theft from a supermarket in Hunstanton on New Year’s Eve.

A man left the Tesco store on Southend Road between 9.50 and 10am on December 31 with a trolley of goods which had not been paid for.

Staff chased the man, who then abandoned the trolley and ran off, a police spokesman said.

The man was wearing a black hat, black coat and jeans.

Anyone with information about the raid is asked to contact PC Ian McCrea of Hunstanton police on 101.
