KING’S LYNN: Spate of ‘opportunistic’ burglaries

Thieves walked into an unlocked property in Thomas Street, Lynn, overnight and stole an iPod and docking station, a mobile phone, a laptop and handbag.

Supt Dave Marshall, the policing commander for West Norfolk said: “This is the third burglary this week where someone has walked in overnight into an unlocked property.

“It is clearly an opportunist crime and by leaving doors and downstairs windows unlockedyou are making it much easier for thieves.”

Strange noises were heard in the property at around 11.45pm on Tuesday night.

Some of the contents of the handbag were later found in the alleyway of Vancouver Avenue and Beech Road, it is believed the thieves may have used this as an exit route.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC Sarah Mitchell at Lynn police station on 101.
