Police taser drinker in Lynn pub

A 24-YEAR-OLD was tasered by police when he started threatening to fight other drinkers in the Fenman, Lynn, a court heard.

Andrew Shearman, of Smith Avenue, Lynn, was already subject to a conditional discharge for being drunk and disorderly on November 11 when the incident happened on January 4.

Yvonne Neill, prosecuting, said: “He began to threaten to try to fight people in the pub.”

Shearman admitted being drunk and disorderly at the Fenman, in Blackfriars Road, Lynn, breaching the conditional discharge and possession of £3.80 of cannabis at West Norfolk Magistrates’ Court, in Lynn, on Wednesday.

He was fined a total of £180 and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
