RUNCTON HOLME: Police link burglaries

Two burglaries which happened in Runcton Holme last week are being linked by police.

Raiders smashed a rear patio door glass to gain entry to an address in Downham Road sometime between 1.45pm and 9.15pm last Thursday, March 7.

They then searched the property and stole jewellery. A pillowcase is also believed to have been used in the raid.

Detectives are linking that break-in with another, also in Downham Road, which happened sometime between 4pm on Thursday March 7 and 4pm on Friday March 8.

It is believed that a small screwdriver was used to force open a large rear wood-framed window. A gold ladies wrist watch with a black strap was taken, as were two silver gents pocket watches.

Anyone who has information about either break-in is asked to contact DC Carl Ritchie, of Lynn CID, on the non-emergency 101 number (calls cost 15p.)
