SWAFFHAM: Police probe town vandalism

Swaffham police have been investigating vandalism to properties in Carter Close and Blake Court.

Breckland policing commander, Chief Inspector Paul Durham, said a local man had been arrested, adding: “The operational partnership team is working with agencies to try to prevent a recurrence of this behaviour.”

Residents in Stratton Close have also been suffering from a spate of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage, with car wing mirrors being smashed and youths banging on doors and windows of elderly people’s homes.

Windows were recently smashed at two homes in London Street and the rear window of a vehicle was damaged in the Theatre Street car park.
