WATLINGTON: Man assaulted at station

Police are appealing for information after a man was repeatedly punched in the head as he bought a ticket at Watlington train station.

Officers from British Transport Police want to hear from anyone who saw the assault on platform one at 2.05pm on Saturday, January 12.

Two services stopped at the station during the assault, and officers are hoping that someone saw what happened.

The 20-year-old victim was approached by another man who punched him several times to the head, causing him to fall to the floor. The victim required hospital treatment for his injuries.

The attacker was white, with short brown hair, around 6ft tall and wearing a white baseball cap. Police believe he was in the company of a middle-aged couple and a woman.
