A Lynn man “lost a lot of drinking money” when he was left £265 out of pocket for being drunk and disorderly.

Wesley Theobald, 23, appeared before Lynn magistrates on Friday and admitted being drunk and disorderly outside Chicagos nightclub in Norfolk Street, Lynn, on April 18.

Prosecutor Giles Beaumont said he was shouting and swearing at police, waving his arms around and trying to pull an officer off his friend.

Theobald, of Seathwaite Road, Lynn, was fined £160 for the offence, with £105 costs.

Chairman of the bench, Karen Norris, told him: “You’ve lost £265 because of your behaviour. That’s a lot of drinking money.”
