Witnesses are being urged to come forward after a motorist suffered facial injuries in a suspected road rage incident on the main route between Lynn and Wisbech at the weekend.

The incident happened on the A47 at Tilney All Saints at around 9.10am on Saturday.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said the incident followed a collision between two vehicles at the junction with Eau Brink Road.

The victim, a man in his late 40s who had been driving towards Lynn before the incident, is believed to have become involved in an argument with the driver of the other vehicle, believed to be a Vauxhall people carrier.

He was then punched several times in the face and required hospital treatment for his injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information about it, is asked to contact PC Ollie Gilder, at Lynn police station, on the non-emergency 101 number.

Witnesses can also contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 with any information.
