An RAF Marham aircraftsman who admitted possessing indecent images of children has been committed to crown court to be sentenced.

Adam Dobson, 28, of Doncaster, appeared at Lynn magistrates court to be sentenced yesterday, having pleaded guilty to five counts of possessing indecent photos and video, plus a further charge of possessing extreme pornographic material, at a hearing earlier this month.

However, the bench declined to sentence him, saying their powers were insufficient to deal with the case.

Dobson will instead be sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on a date yet to be fixed.

He was released on unconditional bail until then.
