A man from Denver is set to take on the London Marathon next month to raise money for a charity which is close to his heart.
Paul Millar, 49, decided to take on the challenge to fundraise for Lymphoma Association, after his step-father died after being diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma – a type of blood cancer – two years ago.
Mr Millar, who works as a mortgage broker in Downham, said: “My stepfather Frank Sykes was diagnosed in May 2015 and he never regained consciousness – he died four days after diagnosis.
“Frank brought me up for over 40 years – I’m doing this so other people can spend time with their loved ones.”
