Dersingham Guides and Scouts combined forces with St Nicholas’ Church’s tower bell ringers to raise money by holding a teddy bear parachute event last week.
Guide leader Lynn Wheeler said: “Children and adults were asked to bring along their favourite cuddly toy to be parachuted from the tower as we all watched from the knave of the church. We had lots of support from families and church member - it was a lot of fun.
“We’ve done it once before and it was very successful so we thought we would do it again.”
The event saw 94 bears parachuting down through the church and a total of £250 raised to be split between the Scouts and the bell ringers, there was also a raffle held on the day.
Plastic bags were donated by the village Spar shop for parachutes. mlnf16af09224
