Dersingham was included in a list of the country’s top-20 villages in which to live this week.
Placed at numer nine, the Sunday Times said that Dersingham was “on the western edge of the Sandringham estate ... well placed to take advantage of unspoilt north west Norfolk, with its sandy beaches, sailing and foodie hotspots such as Morston Hall”.
It noted that: “Great shopping can be found in nearby Holt. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been known to frequent the Kings Head pub in Great Bircham, and Anmer Hall is nearby.
“Access to the area has been improved by an upgrade of the A11.”
Dersingham and Lavenham, in Suffolk, are the only East Anglian villages included in the list, which is largely dominated by villages in the Home Counties.
