SERV Norfolk Bloodbikes have received a much-needed boost to their finances thanks to the efforts of the Lavender Lacemakers.
The group, which meets every Tuesday at Dersingham Social Club, donated £1,100 to the volunteer group whhich supplies hospitals with an out-of-hours emergency service.
Organiser Lynn Hallifax had never heard of SERV Norfolk until one of the Lacemakers suggested them for a donation.
Lynn said: “I saw a presentation on SERV Norfolk by David Parish and I was amazed at the professional service these volunteers offer and I thought one day I might need blood.”
SERV Norfolk volunteer David Parish accepted the cheque and said “Last year we ran 900 missions and, with demand for our service growing, donations like this will help to keep the service on the road.”
Mr Parish is pictured accepting the cheque from Lynn Hallifax and the Lavender Lacemakers of Dersingham.
