Staff at the Coach and Horses public house in Dersingham are celebrating after being named Norfolk Pub of the Year by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale).
The pub beat off stiff competition from the Fat Cat pub in Norwich – twice named CAMRA’s National Pub of the Year – to win the prestigious county title. The pub will now go head-to-head with five other pubs in the East Anglian heat.
Landlady Sheila Roythorne said: “When we won the West Norfolk Pub of the Year I couldn’t believe it, so to have won this is amazing. I’m very surprised but thrilled to bits.”
Angela Briers, from the West Norfolk branch of CAMRA, is pictured presenting the award to Mrs Roythorne on Wednesday surrounded by pub regulars.
