Chinese new year celebrations were held at Dersingham Primary School and Nursery on Friday.

Corey King and Kloe Simper, both aged four, were among those enjoying meeting this dragon as celebrations go under way in the classroom.

This year is the Year of the Goat in the Chinese calendar. The year’s lucky numbers are two and seven, lucky colours are brown, red, purple and lucky flowers are carnations and primroses.

People born in a year of the Goat are generally believed to be gentle mild-mannered, shy, stable, sympathetic, amicable, and brimming with a strong sense of kindheartedness and justice.
