Dersingham school pupil receives Bible prize from the Queen

Ten-year-old Jack Bolderstone enjoyed an audience with the Queen on Sunday as he received a special award.

Jack, who attends Dersingham Primary School, was presented with the Queen’s Bible prize for religious studies in recognition of his project on the theme of friendship.

He was accompanied by his parents, Alison and John Bolderstone, and the school’s headteacher, Gayle Platt.

Mr Bolderstone said: “It was a very proud moment. He took an awful lot of time and effort on his project. I hope he will remember it for a long, long time.”

Mrs Platt added: “I think Jack was a little bit nervous but he was very good. He spoke very eloquently to the Queen.”
