Superheroes were brought to life as part of a half-term book based activity held at Dersingham Library last week.

The sessions are aimed at encouraging holiday visits to the library, introducing families to new books, learning new skills and having fun.

Community librarian, Alison Thorne, said: “The Superheroes theme was chosen by popular demand after our Minions themed events last October.

“Libraries have so many superheroes books to appeal to all ages and all reading abilities – from Superman to Captain Underpants.

“The events have gone really well this week, attracting children from 3 to 12 and parents, grandparents and carers.

“Children made Thor’s hammer, a Batman mask and special superhero cuffs.”

There are more book-based events planned for youngsters during the Easter holidays.
