Detectives probe three burglaries in West Norfolk villages

Detectives say they are linking three burglaries which happened in West Norfolk villages last week.

An air pistol and jewellery were stolen in the first raid on a property in Lynn Road, Terrington St Clement, sometime between 7pm on Monday, June 29 and 9pm on Thursday, July 2. The items were later recovered.

A second property on the road was targeted between 7pm last Wednesday, July 1, and 9pm the following day.

In that case, thieves smashed a rear window to access the building and stole grandfather clock, a sack barrow and a cycle helmet. An air pistol, a hand glider and a pressure washer were later recovered in a nearby hedgerow.

Several watches, hundreds of pounds in cash, jewellery, a mobile phone and an iPod Touch were also stolen from a property in Smeeth Road, Marshland St James, sometime between 7.15pm last Wednesday and 7pm last Thursday.

Anyone with information about any of the three raids, or who saw suspicious activity in the areas, is asked to contact Lynn CID via the non-emergency 101 number.
