Plans for three new homes in a West Norfolk village have been recommended for approval by councillors, despite opposition from community representatives.
The scheme for the Garden Cottage site on Hiltons Lane, St Germans is set to be considered by the West Norfolk Council planning committee on Monday.
But, while planning officers have called for the scheme to be approved, the village’s parish council says it should be turned down.
Although fewer homes are now proposed, the authority said: “We feel that fundamental issues have not been addressed and so are unable to recommend approval.”
But the applicant, described as a client of David Taylor Associates, argued that the development would set “a new standard” for housing in the village, while access to the site has been widened.
