The 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme will be commemorated during a forthcoming exhibition.
Docking Heritage Group will be honouring the village men who fought in the battle with moving displays during the exhibition, which will be held on May 1 and 2 at Ripper Hall.
The organisers will also be showing old films of village carnivals and fetes in the heritage room.
Attractions will also include a display of village photographs, oral histories and school records. Lynn metal detectors and an archaeologist will be showing off local finds plus the family history helpdesk is running.
Group secretary Helena Aldis said: “This year we have a mystery photograph which maybe a portrait of the Boyden family taken around 1910; it was found in a cupboard under the stairs in an old cottage in the village
“We are also hoping to compile a collection of local ghost stories and would like people to come forward with their tales of the past.”
