Downham Otters Disabled Swimming Club has celebrated its 25th anniversary with a reception.
The club was founded in July 1989 to help disabled people to improve their mobility by strengthening their limbs.
Around 60 people went along to the reception in Downham Leisure Centre.
The club, which meets at the town’s pool on Tuesdays between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, has 60 disabled and able bodied members. It is also looking for three to four extra female helpers to work with swimmers during the session. Chairman Cliff Gardner said: “It went fantastically well.”
