Downham Market Young Farmers have donated £10,000 to a brain injury charity.

On Wednesday, July 6, thanks to the club’s various fundraising events, they were able to hand the cheque over to the West Norfolk branch of Headway.

Money was raised by a clay shoot in April and a dinner dance in May, in conjunction with other events.

Charlotte Waters, member of Downham Young Farmers, said: “The club chose to support this charity this year due to a close connection – their services greatly helped one of our members after suffering a brain injury due to a road accident.”
