A fundraing skip has been set up in its new home.

Downham Rotary Club has had a blue skip in the Hollies Car Park since 1993, which has raised £26,500 for good causes by collecting 325 tonnes of waste paper.

Now the club has a smaller bin in the Old Fire Station following a decision by Downham Town Council to clear skips from the Hollies. The new skip can be found at the far end of the Old Fire Station.

Rotary spokesman Tony Firell thanked the town for its support during an official ceremonyon Tuesday last week.
