A woman was caught drink-driving after being seen going the wrong way down a one way street, a court has heard today.

Angela Baillie, 40, of Elizabeth Avenue, Downham, pleaded guilty to the charge at a hearing in Lynn.

The court heard she was seen driving erratically in the Old Sunway area of Lynn late on the evening of January 25.

Fergus Harold, prosecuting, said police were alerted after she was seen on CCTV. She told officers she had been drinking earlier in the day.

Tests later showed Baillie had 52 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Baillie, who represented herself in court, said she was “terribly sorry” for her actions.

She said: “I don’t know the area but I hold my hands up and I’ll suffer the consequences.”

Baillie was banned from driving for 14 months, fined £300 and told to pay £85 costs and a £35 victim surcharge.
