West Norfolk commuters and shoppers will find parking restrictions in place when The Mart starts setting up in Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place next week.

Vehicular access to the market square will be restricted from Tuesday, February 11 until Wednesday, February 26.

Tuesday Market Place East road (which runs adjacent to the Duke’s Head Hotel) and Tuesday Market Place South to the junction with King Street, which is predominantly pedestrianised since the recent renovation of the square, will be closed to all vehicles, including delivery vehicles from February 12-26.

Tuesday Market Place West road (which runs in front of the Corn Exchange) will remain open to two-way traffic as normal.

There will be no car parking available on the Tuesday Market Place and the Common Staithe Quay car park (situated behind the Corn Exchange) from 6pm on February 11 until February 26.

All other council-owned Lynn car parks will operate as normal.

Borough mayor, Elizabeth Watson, will lead the official opening ceremony of The Mart at noon next Friday, February 14, joined by local dignitaries and visiting mayors.
