Morris dancers will have an early start on May Day to welcome in the summer.
The King’s Morris will once again be performing the Lynn May Garland, a tradition which was resurrected in 1983.
Members will begin dancing at dawn at Knight’s Hill on Sunday, May 1.
At 1.30pm a dancing display will be given in Saturday Market Place.
This will be followed by the colourful garland procession around the town centre.
The garland, which consists of a large double hoop decorated with flowers, ribbons and beads, is held aloft and accompanied by bow horns.
The King’s Morris will also be out and about over the bank holiday weekend to entertain residents and visitors.
One May 2, the group will be performing at the Jolly Sailors in Brancaster Staithe at noon.
This will be followed with a display at the Hoste Arms, Burnham Market, at 1pm.
While at 2.30pm the group will be performing at The Globe at Wells. For more go to www.kingsmorris.co.uk
