A leading politician who counts the Pope and President Obama among the people she has met visited Lynn’s College of West Anglia to give a motivational talk to students.
Baroness Helene Hayman, 65 – who struck a blow for women’s rights by being the first MP to breastfeed in the House of Commons – addressed around 30 health and social care, childcare and history students at the end of last month.
The Baroness, who became a life peer in 1996, talked about her political career, including her role as former Speaker of the House of Lords. She also spoke about her interests outside of politics, such as health issues and her charitable work. Photo: ADAM FAIRBROTHER MLNF14AM03290
