The College of West Anglia at Lynn has launched Team 19 with ten teams.

Team19 is England Colleges FA’s new participation game aimed at under 19s, a new version of 5-a-side football where students can play for fun and sessions are run and managed by student management teams.

The Team Nineteen roadshow made a seventh appearance since it launched in November 2013, with College of West Anglia the latest recipient.

The event, organised by College Sport Maker Sara Edwards, was used as a launch tournament at the college which saw ten teams involved and an additional one from Peterborough Regional College, who came to experience the showcase event.

In a vibrant atmosphere on campus, a team of female leaders supported the Team 19 roadshow challenges, controlled the music for the day and interacted with peers to get them involved in the various activities.

The College’s Media Department were capturing footage and offering students the opportunity to speak about their experience of the Team Nineteen festival, which will be put into a promotional video.

The Team Nineteen roadshow has now engaged with 853 participants and leaders over seven events, helped three colleges launch Team Nineteen and resulted in 12 new colleges signing up to the programme.

The next stop is Warrington College for a North West event and there is already great demand for 2014/15.
