EMERGENCY SCHOOL CLOSURES - LIST HERE

BELOW is a list of schools closed today in Norfolk.

The list is according to Norfolk County Council and was updated this morning. There are 31 schools affected.

•Ashwicken Church Of England Primary School - Travel difficulties for staff, no hot meals and concerns for pupil safety on site.

•Brancaster CE VA Primary School - Our main roads aren’t too bad but the smaller roads are very dangerous and only the most local staff & pupils could travel safely to get in. No hot dinners and school VERY cold. Expect to be open tomorrow unless conditions deteriorate.

•Burnham Market Primary School - BMPS closed because of boiler problems and the snow. Will update on Monday afternoon.

•Clackclose Community Primary School - travel difficulties for staff and site unsafe

•Duchy Of Lancaster CE Primary School - Snow and ice conditions, travel problems for staff. Will update Monday afternoon

•Fairstead Community Primary & Nursery School - Site unsafe. Drifting snow

•Foulsham Primary School - FPS well be closed today please check back tomorrow.

•Great Hockham Primary School -

•Heacham Infant & Nursery School - Difficulties with teaching staff getting to school and concerns about pupil safety.

•Heacham Junior School -

•Howard Junior School - Site conditions unsafe

•King Edward VII School - Heavy drifting on site restricting access and movement around school

•King’s Lynn Academy - The site is currently unsafe for students. We will be clearing snow and hope to be open tomorrow.

•Marham Junior School - STAFFING AND BAD WEATHER

•Mundford VC Primary School -

•Norwich Road School - The school is too icy and unsafe for children today.

•Queensway Infant School & Nursery - icy condition on roads staff difficulties

•Redgate Junior School -

•Sandringham & West Newton CE VA Primary School -

•Smithdon High School - School closed due to conditions on site and travel difficulties for some students and staff. •Snettisham Primary School - Closed today due to bad weather and road conditions; staff having difficulties travelling to work; no hot school meals.

•Southery Primary School - unable to make site safe for staff and children

•Springwood High School (Academy) - Site unsafe due to snow and ice.

•St. Clement’s High School - Boiler house broken down - no heat or hot water

•St. Martha’s RC VA Primary School - staff unable to get into school

•St. Martin At Shouldham CE VA Primary School - Snow and ice conditions, travel problems for staff and pupils.

•The Clare School - Heating system has failed and will be off for the rest of the day.

•The Rosebery Short Stay School For Norfolk - The site is closed for safety reasons and difficult travelling conditions for staff and students

•Tilney All Saints CE VC Primary School - Boiler failure - will update this afternoon

•Walsingham Community Primary School - WCPS closed because of snow, ice and travel problems for staff and children. Will update on Monday afternoon.

•Wimbotsham & Stow Community School - travel difficulties for staff and site unsafe
