Pupils at Fairstead Community Primary School were given a chance to explore their future career paths last week, when the school held its 7th annual careers event on Thursday 17th March.

The first event was held in 2010, and each year local businesses are invited to the school on William Booth Road to provide pupils age 9-11 with information about their chosen careers.

Held in the school’s main hall, tables were set out like a market place and each of the 21 business owners involved had their own space to advertise their role. Children were encouraged to visit each table to ask owners questions and find out more about what they do.
