This Friday is the 'Jump Rope for Heart' event at school, where we will have loads of kids skipping to highlight the benefits of exercise in preventing heart disease.

More than 200 pupils from Lynn’s King Edward VII School took part in a Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser in the sports hall ahead of the Christmas break.

All of Year 7 and some sports council representatives from Years 11, 12 and 13 took part in the 55-minute skipping event, organised by the British Heart Foundation.

One of the teachers said: “The pupils have worked really hard on raising as much money as possible and practising their skipping abilities ready for the event.

“I am very pleased that they have completed it and raised awareness of this charity and heart research.”
