Pupils at Litcham School will be missing a familiar face after a teaching assistant, who worked at the school for more than 25 years, retired.
Margaret Feeke, pictured left, has held various roles including governor, dinner lady and a teaching assistant.
Primary phase head Christine Watts said: “Her now grown-up children and grandchildren have grown up in the school and Margaret has stayed close to the school during that time.
“She has worked with many children both individually and in groups, and has been very involved in all aspects of school life.
“Her love and care for the children in the school over the years is immeasurable.”
Staff and pupils held an end-of-term and farewell lunch party before Christmas to thank Margaret for her contribution.
She now plans to return to the school as a volunteer to hear children read in the coming term.
